Ahuizotl – Stat Block for Daggerheart

This is based on a creature from Aztec mythology that was said to lure people to their deaths. Essentially a water opossum with a human-like hand at the tip of its tail, it was the guardian of lakes and fish. Sometimes the ahuizotl would be sent on behalf of the gods to collect the souls of mortals destined for paradise. (Source: Wikipedia)

AHUIZOTL Tier 2 Skulk A black, dog-like creature with raccoon-like hands and a long, prehensile tail with a human-like hand at its tip. Motives & Tactics: Guard the water, lure victims, strike from below.

FEATURES Water Dog – Passive: Attacks made against the Ahuizotl while it is in water have disadvantage. Ambush – Action: While Hidden, make an attack against a target within Very Close range. On a success, deal 2d6+6 physical damage. Cloaked – Action: Become Hidden until after the Ahuizotl’s next attack. Attacks made while Hidden from this feature have advantage. Snatch – Action: Mark a Stress to make an attack against a target within Very Close range using the Ahuizotl’s prehensile tail. On a success, the target is pulled to within Melee range of the Ahuizotl and is Vulnerable until they are freed from its grasp when the Ahuizotl takes Major damage or is defeated.
