      <title>Force User (Offworlders Class)</title>
      <link>https://rafelangston.com/force-user-offworlders-class?pk_campaign=rss-feed</link>
<description>&lt;![CDATA[Getting ready to run an Offworlders TTRPG campaign for my kids set in the Star Wars universe, I needed to make some changes. One of the first, obviously, is a class for Jedi/Sith-type characters. Thankfully, the built-in Psychic class is pretty close to a decent Force user so I simply modified it like below…&#xA;&#xA;!--more--&#xA;&#xA; # FORCE USER&#xA; Force Users are able to interact with and manipulate the Force, giving them supernatural abilities from using Mind Tricks to manipulate those who are weak-minded to shooting Lightning from their fingertips. Play a Force User if you want to be mystical and powerful.&#xA; ## ABILITIES&#xA; Lightning: Your can use your Force powers as a ranged weapon, doing 1d6+1 damage to a nearby target. You attack by rolling the dice with Willpower.&#xA; Jump: Once per scene, you may leap to a Far location that you can see.&#xA; Premonition: Once per day, ask the GM about the outcome of an immediate action. “What will happen when I open this door?” for instance. They will describe the likely outcome honestly.&#xA; Insight: You can easily read people’s surface emotions. You may roll the dice with Intelligence to try and access a character’s deeper thoughts or specific information.&#xA; Telekinesis: You can easily move small objects with your mind. You can attempt to move larger objects, or move things very precisely, but it is difficult. The GM will tell you how.&#xA; Mind Trick: Once per day, you may take a +2 bonus on a Willpower check to an attempt to manipulate another character.&#xA;&#xA;💾 Download the PDF from Google Drive.&#xA;&#xA;Constructive criticism and other respectful feedback should be directed to this skeet on Bluesky. <title>5e House Rule: Critical Hits</title>
      <link>https://rafelangston.com/5e-house-rule-critical-hits?pk_campaign=rss-feed</link>
<description>&lt;![CDATA[When a player rolls a critical hit (Natural 20) on an attack roll, they do the maximum normal damage plus the damage die roll.&#xA;&#xA;!--more--&#xA;&#xA;Example: Nevias the Halfling Barbarian gets a critical hit while Raging with his comically large warhammer, which he is wielding two-handed. Normally, this would do damage equal to 1d10 plus his Strength modifier (+4) and his Rage damage (+2).&#xA;&#xA;1d10+4+2&#xA;&#xA;Meaning that his normal maximum possible damage is 16, making his critical hit roll:&#xA;&#xA;1d10+16&#xA;&#xA;Nevias rolls a 7, doing 23 points of bludgeoning damage to the zombie that is lurching toward him. Cue the victory theme!&#xA;&#xA;/end&#xA;&#xA;💬 Please direct any comments to this skeet on Bluesky or this toot on Mastodon.
